FAQ

Good questions. Straight answers.

Everything people usually ask before saying hello. Can’t find yours? Ask us directly.

Getting started

Anyone curious about the kinds of work we focus on: software engineers thinking about their next role, and people from technical or non-technical backgrounds who are interested in AI training and evaluation work. Not sure where you fit? Say hello anyway, and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.

You say hello through the short form. We reply by email to set up a conversation about your background and goals. If something looks like a good fit, we’ll explain exactly what it involves, including any costs and what you’d be responsible for, in writing. Then you decide. Nothing commits you before you agree.

Yes. Our conversations happen online, so you can connect from wherever you are. Many of the roles and projects we talk about are remote, but that’s up to each employer or platform, along with any location or eligibility requirements. We’ll be upfront about those.

Fill in the short contact form. It takes about a minute. Tell us a little about your role and what you’re curious about, and we’ll take it from there.

Opportunities

Two kinds. For software engineers, we offer career support: job-search strategy, resume and LinkedIn reviews, interview preparation, and ongoing mentorship. For AI and technology, we help you understand and get started with AI training and evaluation projects offered by third-party platforms. We don’t post job listings, and we’re not a staffing agency with openings on hand.

Not for everything. Our career support is built for working software engineers, and around three or more years of professional experience is usually the best fit. Many AI evaluation projects don’t need a technical background at all. They look for clear writing, careful reading, and good judgment. Some technical tracks do look for experience with languages like Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL.

Often, yes. Career support works around your current job, and many AI evaluation platforms offer flexible, project-based work that people fit around other commitments. Hours, availability and pay are set by each platform and can change, so we’ll never promise a schedule or an income.

Not publicly. We’re not a job board or a staffing agency. Opportunities come up through conversations, and we talk about what’s realistic for you rather than listing roles that may not fit.

Terms & trust

Saying hello is free and doesn’t commit you to anything. Each opportunity has its own requirements: employers decide who they hire, and AI platforms set their own eligibility checks, identity verification, qualification tests, and pay. If we offer you a paid service, or any arrangement where we share in what you earn, you’ll get the full scope, cost, and responsibilities in writing before you agree to anything.

No. You attend your own interviews, take your own assessments, and do your own work, whether that’s a job or AI training tasks. We help you prepare beforehand with mock interviews, feedback, and mentoring. We never help during a live interview or test.

Never. Your employer and platform accounts belong to you. We won’t ask for your passwords, log in on your behalf, or ask you to share an account. Identity verification is something only you should complete.

Only with your permission. We use what you send us to reply and to talk about the opportunities you asked about. We don’t sell it, and we never pass your details to an employer or platform unless you’ve agreed to that introduction.

Still have a question? Just ask.

We’re happy to answer anything before you decide whether to go further. No obligation, no pressure.
